These unique sandstone formations are located along the eastern rim of Marble Canyon. Marble Canyon was given its name by Powell during his first trip down the colorado. The name was chosen due to the staining on the walls. About this image... Taken on a Nikon D100 with a Sigma 70-300 mm lens at 135mm. 1/15th, F/4.5, 200 ISO to raw.
