It's amazing how many odd rock formations are scattered throughout the desert southwest.  One such formation is Church Rock, located south of Moab, Utah.  Powell spoke of how the landscape of the southwest was a book of revelation in the bible of geology.  These formation do tell stories about the formation of the land.
